Next up from us here at The 3000 Network, we are back among the bassline bangers as we return to our conceptual roots to explore a brand new sizzler. The last few years have been fantastic for variation and growth for the areas surrounding UK bass music, with garage, dubstep, tech and numerous other sounds coming on leaps and bounds, following on from the trailblazing path that bass music has been setting. Today’s release sees us return to the original UK bass sound as we take a look at the latest drop from the team over at Musketeer, welcoming both Jay Wall and Tension to the table for a wavy new collaboration.
As a duo, this is definitely one that we see and feel makes instant sense. They have both featured as artists in their own right both here on The 3000 Network, and across the wider community of record labels we are seeing pop up with such fantastic impacts. Both artists have been able to build up considerable fan-bases, and although their signatures sounds differ slightly, we can safely say that sonically, this is one of our favourite link ups of 2021 thus far.
Taking the title ‘Latch’, this is definitely one that bass and garage DJs around the country are going to want to be keeping in the back-pack ready for deployment, because it is a track we can see causing absolute carnage in the dance. We begin with a spacey introduction, which is then joined by some catchy vocal sampling to get any crowd up for a boogie. From here, a raucous wave of hard hitting synthesizer slides and sub-bumping drum punches join forces to cause an absolute ruckus. It’s got bags of energy and we couldn’t be more exciting to be offering an official premiere for this one over the The 3000 Blog SoundCloud page.
