With the constant shifting of sounds and styles among the heart of the UK underground, bass and garage producers have been such an interesting collection of sonic designers to watch over the breadth of 2022, with a tonne of new opportunities becoming available and new spaces now being populated with these exciting new sounds, from dancefloors to adverts to montage reels. However, here at The 3000 Nework we do love a good party roller, which we have seen more and more of both the garage and bass turning towards in the last few months, with clubland returning to action following on from a super spicy festival season to say the least.

One pairing that have done a fantastic job of exploring a varied wave of sounds and styles over the last few years if of course Leeds’ own Vital Techniques, a truly competant collaborative outfit that explore a wide range of bass, garage, grime and more within their electrifying productions. Through their work on their own Second To None imprint, next to releasing on alongside some of the biggest labels in the scene, they have gained a steadfast reputation for highly energetic releases across every genre they touch, with this latest outing seeing them land in a much more   alongside the dons over at the long standing Deeprot imprint.

The two entities have combined to unleash the powerhouse of a single that is ‘Losing Control’, a truly vibrant original, exploring more fidget-inspired synthetic design and bouncy drum textures that would most likely be sat just outside the normal realms of ‘UK bass’, but still pack a potent punch of original dancefloor energy. You then combine these digital factor with a euphoric lead vocal line, tidy percussive insteps and a tasty sense of 4×4 rhythm to match, to find that this is a pretty anthemic original to dive into.

It’s a great addition to the 2022 Vital Techniques catalogue, which you can check out below:
