The YosH roster has become a strong pillar of the UK Bass scene, a collection of artists who have worked with the label over time, growing and developing as artists through single, EP and compilation releases; one member of the roster who has been a key name on most of the labels big projects in the last 2 years is the DJ and producer, Spence.
Debuting as part of the 2021 ‘Ones To Watch’ project, Spence quickly became a popular feature on the label, releasing a 2 track EP in June of 2021 and featuring on the labels annual compilation, ‘YosH, Vol .5’ in September. An artist with a unique style and sound, Spence’s releases have continued to grow in quality while still retaining the ingredients that have helped to craft the sound we know from the exciting artist today.
Spence returns to the label with arguably his best production to date, ‘I Can’t’, a club banger with all the elements of a typical Spence track, but pieced together in a way that sets this production apart from the rest. A catchy lead vocal kicks off the track and gives the track a clear structure and tone and the drop is composed of a selection of ear catching bass synths, warps and wubs that keeps the track developing throughout, ensuring it flows with ease.
We’ve come to expect big things from Spence and this latest release has not let us down, ‘I Can’t’ is not just one of Spence’s best productions to date, but one of the stand out releases from the YosH label this year and we look forward to seeing what’s next in store for the artist and label combination.
