Reloaded Sounds – a label that’s been steadily rising through the ranks of UK Bass world, who we’ve also been keeping a hawk’s eye on over recent months here at The 3000 Network. This time, they bring us a collaboration between two producers that was sure to bless us with a mean track.
A meaty tune, riddled with old school grime influences is the newest addition to the label from the prolific Fork and Knife and rising force in West Yorkshire, Hayz. Both bringing their signature flavours into the mix seamlessly, the punchy drums associated with Fork and Knife make a perfect match for the melodic, vintage sounding synths that Hayz has made into a signature of his own.
Cue the breakdown in the second half of the track, bringing a healthy dose of balance to a track that’s bursting with energy. While to the untrained ear this may seem like synthetic chaos, it’s clear this was nothing but a streak of pure genius from the producers choosing to combine their strengths.
One worth a reload on any dance floor, with a sure-fire mean streak to boot. A staggering start to the year from both producers, with a track that comes together as a carefully curated example of the finest in the UK’s underground. Watch this space for a phantom of a track, ready to ripple through our ears for years to come.
