Hamdi launches into 2022 with a vibrant two-tracker on Steppers Club

Despite only being back in action for a few weeks, We have already found ourselves jumping into the latest releases of Steppers Club twice, as the enigmatic imprint continues to impress across so many levels. 2021 was a fantastic year for them, with their catalogue expanding to a large level very quickly and also giving them the opportunity to work with some of the most exciting names across UKG as a whole. This time around they are back in business with a real favourite of ours here at The 3000 Network, with the explosive production arsenal of Hamdi landing for two tracks of futuristic garage fire.

As an artist, both a production level and in terms of live performance, Hamdi has been one of the most impressive figures to move between bass, garage, grime and dubstep in recent years. The versatility within his sound is something that doesn’t get nearly enough praise, and is also amplified by the fact his live sets genuinely never stop changing genre of rhythmic style, constantly catching the ravers unawares and inspiring an absolute ruckus. This new EP is a good way of cramming a tonne of that energy into two new sizzlers, perfect for the dancefloors of 2022.

We begin with the title track ‘Creepy Crawlies’, a combination of jittering digital synth design and vibrant bass tones below, which intertwine smartly to give us a very unique sounding garage original, fitting perfectly into Hamdi’s live mantra of unpredictablity and surprise. On the flip however, we are able to explore a much more typical harmonious garage sound on ‘Rejuvenated’, a super smooth sweep of melodic juice, giving us the perfect B-side to enjoy. Both tracks are going to cause some real dancefloor damage, making this a great start to the year for all involved.
