We here at 3000 Bass are always keeping an eye on the various, multi-genre releases from the imprint, Incursion Records; always with a different style and flavour we never know which direction the label is going to take us, but we remain impressed with their output. Their latest offering takes us in a new direction, once again, as they host the release of the debut EP from the up and coming Drum & Bass producer, SCALEZ.
Once a UK Bass producer, SCALEZ spent a number of years chasing the sound that best suited him and finally landed upon the Drum & Bass genre, which has opened so many new doors to him and is a scene he is currently excelling inside of. Releases with the likes of @SUPERSIZEUK, Reincarnate Records alongside a selection of remixes and bootlegs, supported by pages such as Bass Rabbit, enabled SCALEZ to establish himself further in a highly competitive scene.
Influenced highly by artists such as Pendulum and styles such as Neurofunk, SCALEZ has found a very unique and ear catching breed of Drum & Bass making his debut EP project further more interesting. Due for release Friday 1st October, the EP itself, is a 4 track project, compiled of 2 original Drum & Bass tracks, ‘Chaos’ (ft. SK) and ‘Corruption’, as well as 2 remixes, one from Mintnite, taking SCALEZ back to his UK Bass days with a genre flip of ‘Chaos’ (ft. SK), and the other from Incursion’s own Ryan Gallus, who flips ‘Corruption’ taking us down a more UK Garage influenced path.
A great showcase of SCALEZ’s productive ability and versatility within the genre of Drum & Bass, this EP is a milestone in SCALEZ journey through the Drum & Bass scene and will no doubt open more doors to the still up and coming producer in the future and the inclusion of the carefully selected remixes, means that the EP provides something for everyone and is definitely worth checking out.
