We take a look through A-Bee’s top 5 tracks with Movement

Posted 30/11/18 in

Bristol-based A-Bee has been going from strength to strength this year. Following several appearances on Rinse and 10-Twenty Radio, and shows alongside the likes of Jossy Mitsu, A-Bee is now the head honcho of Mangoes + Melons, one of the most exciting new UKG labels that have arisen in 2018. We spoke to her about 5 racks she’s feeling at the moment, and the list does not disappoint…

Alëem – Felix Yo ! (Figueretas mix)

Absolutely love the classic M1 organs on this track by Aleem! Has that proper old skool, organ house vibe that used to go down at clubs like Niche and Casa Loco.

Black Eyed Peas Behind The Front- 3. Joints and Jam

As well as loving dance music, I absolutely LUUUUV Hip Hop! This album by Black Eyed Peas is one of my all-time favourites. Absolutely love the soft keys on this one.

Dave Aude – Push That Thing (Timo Maas Phat Out Of Hell Mix)

Timo Maas is one of my biggest inspirations of all time. I absolutely love the way his tracks progress and build. He uses some really wicked atmospheric sounds to build depth to the tracks as well as shuffling hi hat patterns to give constant drive and energy to the beats. I take a lot of inspo from this guy!

Microbots – Cosmic Evolution (Timo Maas Mix)

More Timo Maas… Big warehouse vibe with this track. Absolutely love it!

Azealia Banks – Count Contessa

House music has always been one of my favourite genres and biggest influences. The beat for this track is by Lone who is one of my favourite producers in the world of House. I absolutely love the way Azealia Banks chooses to spit on all kinds of beats rather than just classic Hip Hop or Rap beats. Her voice compliments the track perfectly.
