The 3000 Network is a platform that is here to showcase the best in bass music from the UK and rest of the world. Therefore when we stumble across a new artist seemingly doing everything correctly, right from the off, we find it a bit difficult not to get too excited. We live to see new artists emerging and thriving, and across all of the different outlets within the network, this is something we will always remain true to helping where we can!
Today therefore, we are very excited to take a look at a brand new kid on the block, who despite his tasty productions, goes by name of Sour Taste. The Bracknel based producer has made somewhat of an immediate impact, managing to get his debut drop to the right ears at the right time.
For example, we have seen major support on the new single ‘Falling’ from the likes of some serious UK bass heavyweights, including names such as Kissy Sell Out, Axel Boy, Vellum, Mofaux, Echo Knight, Sonny Banks and more. We have to say once we sat down to listen to the track, we could immediately understand the high levels of support.
Within bassline specifically, it is often difficult for a producer to stand out through individuality, however we can tell right from the kick off that Sour Taste is a man with a plan, as we are introduced to an stunning introduction, drawing influences from eastern themes with haunted tones and a stunning vocal display. This then dissipates rapidly as we steer towards the first breakdown, which hits home with a serious punch, laced with vibrant, shocking electronic bass designs and perfectly weighted drum structures, packing enough colour to keep the 4×4’s sounding refreshed and interesting.
As you can probably tell, we are seriously impressed with this one, which is available to download for free below:
