The Archives launch first compilation ft. MPH, HODA, Hot Goods & more

Posted 26/6/20 in

Exciting new entity, ‘The Archives’, are set to release their first collaborative project, entitled ‘The Archives – Chapter 1’. The label was established earlier this year by NuBass and Deppz; two artists, red hot on the scene, set up the label with the intention of pushing the darker sound of UK bass.

The label got off to a flying start with Deppz’s single ‘Hip Hoppa’ which received support from the likes of Notion and Cajama and since they have recruited some of the most exciting up and comers in the scene for a selection of singles and EPs; Chapter 1 will mark the first compilation from the label featuring a weighty track list:

Harry Tremlett – Ovation (ft. Deppz)

Hot Goods – Screamer Dub

HODA – Hydraulics (ft. Dread MC)

Papps – Bop

MPH – I Only

Shahay – Acid

SILK – Push & Pull

The projects line-up features a number of artists who have already worked with The Archives, including Papps, who recently released his ‘Catch My Breath’ EP via the label, and HODA, with his recent single ‘Business’. The new recruits include the likes of MPH, who recently reached number 1 in the Beatport charts with his single, ‘Balaclava’, as well as SILK who has featured on labels such as CruCast and Lengoland in the past. These additions add a real fire power to the project, with fresh and new sound that remain authentic to the brand The Archives are building with their dark and heavy philosophy.

This rapidly growing label are smashing it with all their releases and don’t look like slowing down; their roster of talent is young, exciting and full of energy and has all the potential to build the brand up to one of the biggest labels in the UK bass scene. We look forward to seeing what the label has for us for the rest of 2020 and beyond.
