The Brighton based label has always been seen as a forward thinking imprint, always looking to get involved with the next sound and be a part of what is new and vibrant within bass music. Their extensive roster has seen some top draw names pass through over the years, including the likes of Bushbaby, Skepsis, Darkzy, Distinkt, Freddie Martin, Zero and more.
One of the faces we feel that hasn’t really received the true recognition they deserve however, is Worthing and Brighton based producer and DJ: Mofaux. We’ve said it before, but we honestly can’t think of many producers who are able to sit so well into a scene whilst retaining such a fantastically niche approach to both sound design and rhythm.
Over the years Mofaux has made numerous appearances with the label, featuring as a regular on their super popular ‘Southpoint Presents’ series, as well as a tonne of compilation, remix and Introducing drops. This however, is Mofaux’s time to shine as the Southpoint team unveil a brand new project, which just so happens to be Mofaux’s long awaited debut release.
They have done this with the introduction of a brand new video style, showcasing the full project in a showreel format, complete with some awesome new graphic manoeuvres, displaying three corking originals from Mofaux entitled ‘Make It Go’, ‘Haters’ and ‘Home’, along with a very tasty remix of ‘Make It Go’ from the ever dependable: Negativ.
It’s a very exciting time for Mofaux, who’s most recent drops with the Southpont imprint have been extremely well received, making this one possibly his biggest release to date.
