There are certain artists from the now extended UKG scene that we will always look forward to hearing new music from here at The 3000 Network. Its safe to say that without a shadow of a doubt, Sammy Virji is one of those names, who through a combination of blisteringly uplifting 2-step creations and a super-up-beat musical persona, has seen himself rise to the top of the UKG pile since his original emergence back in 2016/2017. His history since then has been pretty show-stopping, with a top quality run of singles and EPs making him one of the most sought after faces in the UK DJ scene.

Following on from his incredibly well received album: ‘Spice Up My Life’, we have all be gagging for a new slice of that super bouncy Virji sound all year, which we are finally having our thirst for quenched. His brand new single is another example of that party-starting personality we hear floating throughout his entire discography, as he returns with ‘Alright’, another UKG bubbler with a slightly unexpected twist. That twist of course being, that his sister: Lucy, is the vocalist.

The best way to describe this single quickly, is that it’s a typical Virji heater. Through the perfect blend of nostalgic vocal slices, converting Lucy‘s clean vocal line into a skippy, unpredictable melody generator, along with those classic Virji drum processors and rhythmic design, we find ourselves wondering into yet another summer scorcher. This is a tune we cannot wait to hear on a system when the lockdowns around the country eventually lift, and you can be sure to hear it floating across the air as the summer sun continues to blaze here in the UK.
