2020 was overall, despite the sheer lack of live events and painful removal of any physical contact with the rest of the underground scene, a very solid year for underground music here in the UK. We saw a huge influx of new label activity and a fabulous emergence of top quality new artists from numerous different underground areas, from dubstep to garage and everything inbetween. This is something we have seen happening around the UK as well, from Bristol to Brighton to London to Leeds, the whole country has seemingly used the lul in live events to their advantage with a flurry of exciting new music.
HOWEVER, today we are looking at 2021 and one of the first top quality releases we have seen land as we make our way up to Nottingham as we take in this new one from local champions: Reloaded Sounds. Over the past year they have remained extremely active, showcasing an array of different sounds and styles from both established veterans and exciting newcomers, alongside holding a very exciting clash tournament to match.
This latest drop sees them dive into their collaborative roots as they bring together the sizzling grimey production of SDLR, who provides a bone-chilling instrumental creation over which the ever ready Griz-O unleashes a tidal wave of high intensity lyricism. The combination of SDLR’s ice cold synthesizer design with Griz’s jumpy vocal flows give this one some serious dancefloor energy and make it a perfect way to kick off the new year in style.
The track itself is now available to download and stream via the Reloaded Sounds SoundCloud page, a link to which we have attached below for your enjoyment:
