Since they first started working in collaborative fashion, the combination we have seen from both Soulecta & the Garage Shared team has been nothing short of breath-taking, especially in regards to consistency of releases, with the Southampton-based imprint constantly pushing out exciting new creations from Soulecta, who has definitely pushed his name into the upper realms of UKG favour. Last year we saw the long awaited release of Soulecta‘s debut album on the Garage Shared imprint, with ‘Soulecta & Friends’ being one of the most celebrated collaborative drops of 2021, featuring a tonne of tidy link ups that are still doing damage in the dance to this day.
Following on from this, the campaign could well have slowed down and halted, but instead of that, we have been able to enjoy a very exciting extended run of releases around the album, firstly by exploring a number of official remixes that have been picking up some serious support around the globe. Now if that wasn’t enough, it looks like we are now rolling into yet another exciting run as we now take in the ‘Dubs Edition’ of the project, presumebly looking through a number of alternate edits and reworks of the album from more top tier company.
To kick start this new collection, Garage Shared have invited the illustrious duo of Matt Jam Lamont & Echelon inside to give ‘On My Knees’ alongside BitR8 a tasty couple of work-overs, exploring the more stripped back, dub-style side of UKG music with some serious flare. The pair come through with a bag of their original garage energy to unleash, reworking the track in a dancefloor ready bullet of skippy rhythmic design and bouncing bassline action, once again twisting those vocal chops into something even more rhythmic than before, exploring this then further in the secondary extended mix.
This was a very welcome addition to a projec that seems to just keep on giving, which you can check out via the JunoDownload link below:
