Here at threethousand.co.uk we are always, and I repeat ALWAYS on the look for creative new remixes, especially when they are of smash hits of the recent times. We feel wholeheartedly that the art of a good bootleg has been a tad lost in recent times, with producers decided to focus on copy and pasting an introduction block into a drop of complete irrelevance. Today however, we have stumbled across a complete genre rework as we see the team at Reloaded Sounds pull together this tasty refit from Kontent, who gives Sammy Virji and Notion’s ‘Whippet’ original a bit of a 140 revamp.
As a label we love what Reloaded Sounds are all about, constantly looking to find a new angle or original approach to showcasing the music they love, be that clash competitions or remixes such as this one. The original track from Conducta and Notion remains one of the most popular drops to ever hit the Kiwi Rekords catalogue, as the two giants of UKG and bass combined to bring us one of the most memorable 2step rollers of 2019.
For this refix however, we see Kontent completely change the energy and vibe of the tune, deciding to dig out that lead sample melody and relay the ground beneath into a choppy half-time arrangement, giving the track some serious dancefloor clout. Imagine how good it would be hearing the original of this one being spun in the dance, only for it to be switched out for an unexpected half-time drop, phwar. The potential on this one is absolutely huge, which is why we have attached the official Reloaded Sounds upload below for you all to enjoy.
