Having featured earlier this week in one of our ‘Ones To Watch’ series from Movement, Kobe JT is back at it as we take a look into his new project alongside the Slime Recordings and Downplay teams. We have been blessed with three tracks of pure nostalgic UKG bliss, explaining why he was such an immediate placement in our garage listings.
The rising Guildford based producer cracks on with flare as we open up with the title track ‘Free’. This one is a smooth, classic sounding roller, thriving off energetic drum designs and melodic vocal snippets alongside shuffling organ chords. Next up we take a dive into ‘Ninety Five’, which levels up the pacing quite substantially with a more droning sub line and straight 4×4 rhythms, topped with a dashing of horn scatting. The pacing increases drastically again as we skip into the third and final composition which is Limita’s expansive overhaul of ‘Free’. Having also featured in our garage names to watch listing, we were thrilled to see Limita bring his signature sublow energy to the table, providing ‘Free’ with some additional 4×4 structure and potent bass lashings.
The full project is now available to check out below and available to stream & purchase via all platforms:
