Kiddah lands dangerous double on PRIME

Posted 31/7/20 in

Keeping our ear to the ground is what we do best here at threethousand.co.uk, constantly looking to unearth and discover that next weighty release hitting the stores.

Today, we are very excited to be diving into a release we have had the radar for a hot minute, jam packed with futuristic bass-driven themes and colourful designs, from one of the brightest multi-genre talents to emerge out of the UK dance music scene in quite some time.

Enter: Kiddah, a name that if you haven’t already been keeping close tabs on, you will be in the very near future. Since his arrival onto the UK bass scene, we have seen him absolutely flourish, amalgamating a truly unique approach to bass music through the use of outrageously aggresive reesey synthesizer slaps and racous, breakbeat inspired drum skips to deliver time and time again.

It’s been an exciting journey to watch so far and it’s about to get even more lively as we see him team up with PRIME for a brand new two track bonanza.

As far as labels go, it’s safe to say that the team at Prime have been delivering some extremely forward thinking heat over the past few years, with Kiddah’s uniquely crunchy approach being right up their street.

As we mentioned above, the release is made up of two individual corkers, the first of which takes the name ‘Strength’. The crazy thing about this one is that it is exactly what we have come to expect from both producer and label, as a well thought out array of very well presented drum slices are greeted with glistening, high intesisty synth melodies and gnarly, intrusive bass tones. It’s an insant dance masher to say the least!

On the flip, we witness a stunning piece of electronic arrangement as ‘The Cally’ delivers an icy punch of skippy drum chops and unpredictable bass growls. The vocal is what glues this one together, wrapped in a luscious reverberation unit, culminating in a speaker busting bassline.

It’s a top quality piece of work, and we couldn’t be happier to get involved!
