Legendary link ups are always an exciting thing to explore here at The 3000 Network, especially when we see three different entities joining forces for as momentous occasion as we have today. Over the many years of our activity within the journalistic circles of bass music, we have always done our best to keep up to date with these heavyweight collaborations, which is one again brought to us today by the team over at CruCast, continuing their powerful run of singles and EPs which has taken up the first half of the year and beyond. This run has been pretty outstanding and this latest single amplifies their catalogue’s quality even further.
Enter: Dread MC, a veteran, a mastermind and to many a mentor, one of the most established vocal figures currently working in and around the UK bass scene, providing electrifying vocals to dances for over a decade at this point. Dread has always been an exciting character to watch, whether that be during live performance or in the studio, he lights up a room with every appearance, with this new single by the name ‘Tune’ again adding weight to that. He is joined by two very exciting production talents as we see him jump into the studio with the Goliath himself: DJ Q and new school stars: Gentlemens Club.
With this single being the lead up to a very explosive album project we know to be dropping next week, Dread takes no prisoners on this sizzling creation, utilising the grizzly production styles of both DJ Q and Gentlemens Club to unleash a raucous vocal display, fit for any dance floor. Once we hear Dread’s vocals start to pull back, we are then greeted by dizzying LFO expressions and gnarly drum punches, which pushes the tune even further into being one fo the most well put together bass originals we have had the pleasure to explore this year. If this as a single is anything to go by when examining the forthcoming album in full, then boy are we in for a treat!
