DJQ joins the Maraki roster with a blistering My Nu Leng Remix

Posted 1/2/19 in

Bristol based producers ‘My Nu Leng’ are basically synonymous with the UK bass scene at this point. From funky releases back in the day with the likes of Majora (Hips n’ Thighs still bangs), to their latest EP on Maraki, featuring artists such as Holy Goof and Iyamah, they’ve definitely been around the block.

They are back for another release on Maraki, this time with DJ Q giving their 2017 hit, ‘Senses’ a bassline twist. It’s classic Q on this flip, with Q’s signature sound design, 2000s esque mid range stabs, and of course, Iyamah’s fantastic lead vocal has been chopped and screwed.

This remix definitely does justice to the original, but whereas the original was more suited for dark confined spaces, this remix is prime for larger venues (You’ll know what I mean if you caught this one at Boomtown 2017.)
