Creativity and uniqueness are two traits we always look for the most in modern dance music producers, with there being such a crowded scene surrounding them, it’s an essential in 2022 to sound original in your creation. Over the years there have been a number of producers that have caught our ears for their truly unique production styles, whether that be across garage, grime, bass, breaks or anything in between. Today, we are going to be exploring the most recent release from one of the names we have always been able to trust to deliver an original heater, with his previous catalogue ranging across releases with Digital Soundboy & Gangoon Dubz.

We are of course speaking about Dismantle, a truly unique stallwart of underground music production, known most famously for ‘Computation’, a single that genuinely changed the game at a time where dubstep was the leading sound and was crying out for a twist and a turn. As a producer, Dismtantle has always spoken about his ranging influences, with garage being a big element of that in the past. this time around, he dives into the much more breaks-driven side of his inspirational spectrum, unleashing two brand new bangers for us to enjoy, courtesy of his own Stations imprint.

We open up the project with ‘Street Knowledge’, a vibrant, pulsating fusion of acidic bass textures, grizzly reesey synth textures and well sharpened drum designs, constantly switching in both texture and rhythm to keep the ravers happy all the way through until the early hours of the dance. On the flip, we explore a slightly more stripped back approach, as hard hitting bass bubbles play a major role, jittering away below a delicate combination of breaks samples and percussive drips, providing the perfect contrast as a B-side. It’s clear to the breaksy side of Dismantle’s history has served him well!
