Alright then, we are back for yet another edition of our in house series: Charted, in which we ask different DJs and producers to sit down with us and walk through their current top 10 tracks out there right now. So far the series has had some wicked features and we want to thank everyone for getting involved!
Today, we continue on the hot streak as we invite in Low Pitched CEO and veteran bass DJ: Spookz in for a chat. Over the years, Spookz has become synonymous with the rise of UK bass music, championing a number of super fresh sounds through the well respected Low Pitched imprint whilst also providing DJ support for both established acts and shimmering newcomers.
We are therefore super excited to get him involved with Charted and check out who is on his radar right about now. You can check out the full listing below:
Boa Kusasa – BTTF (feat. Redders) (Lr groove remix )
This one hits exactly where I like it, hard bass lines with them skippy funky rhythms.
Tyrant – Coach Clarter
Tyrant is one to watch he has a heap of dubs cooking, ready to unleash on the world but this one that’s been released is monstrous. Perfect for that grime x funky vibe and MCs love it.
RKN – Undercover
This one is a dead certi track that is full time in my sets I’ve played. It does not disappoint, a great singalong vocal banger.
Young H – Strip Again ft. Dread MC (Murder He Wrote Remix)
Straight murder vibes as expected from the bad boy producer and lyricist Dread Mc. I’ve shut down the dance few times with this one
Ali McK & IYZ & Retrospect – An Again (feat. Rame)
Rame delivers them direct bars for the dance over the edgy dark atmospheric vibes that Ali Mck and IYZ are so sick at creating, underlined with a huge bassline. I can not stop playing this one gun fingers at the ready.
JOJV – Shadows
Absolute wobblers from the JOJV, with some funky bass madness
Kaizen Karnak – Energise
This one does exactly what is says it does, ‘Energise’
Killjoy – Disturbance
This ones been killing dance floors wherever I have played it. Another track solidified in my set and it ain’t going out of my sets anytime soon. From Kiev to Prague it smashes the rave and system to bits. Big up Killi.
Retrospect – Chopsticks
Lets get oriental retrospect have given the funky bass vibes a fresh outlook with this one taking Far East vibes through out love dropping this
Razzlerman – Renk Dread (Eastwood remix)
This one is a classic for me, released back in 012 alongside a heap of sick remixes including a shockout remix from me too. Gutter track.
