It’s always an enjoyable time for us here at The 3000 Network being able to explore and showcase the latest new UK bass music. The scene over the past few years, despite the impact of Covid and having no specific festival season or nightlife, we have seen it grow into a fabulous collection of both artistry and label networks, pushing the sound forward in a completely new direction. This has lead to labels such as CruCast being able to really push into a whole new avenue of efficiency, with new releases dropping nearly every week from a wicked combination of already established veterans and spritely newcomers, making it one of the most exciting places to look for new bass music right now.
Today, we see them jump back into action, with this release landing a couple of days earlier than their usual arrivals, as they welcome a winning combination of the blistering UK bass mechanics and blissful vocal structures as we see both Cajama and x.o.anne joining forces for the label’s latest edition. This is definitely not Cajama’s first time around the block in collaboration with CruCast, with a streak of exciting singles already landing this year alongside the heavyweight imprint, although we do believe this is x.o.anne’s first outing alongside the UK heavyweights.
Being based in L.A, we are immediately are introduced to the silky, sun-drenched vocal prowess of x.o.anne, who is the leading attraction across the introduction of this new single entitled ‘Came Here For’, allowing her warm tones to spread across a subtle backdrop of drums and percussion. We then find ourselves blistered with bassy goodness as 4×4 heat is unleashed by Cajama, firing off lethal synthsizer sweeps and hard hitting drum processing, giving bass fans and DJ’s worldwide another belter to enjoy in the sun.
