Now as a label, we have been keeping a very keen eye on the Manuka camp, since their inception and explosive start back in 2019. Since then, it’s pretty safe to say that they really have exceeded expectations, not only establishing themselves as one of the north’s most prominent dubstep and bass outfits, but also putting Manchester on the map with a string of highly effective local releases, showcasing just how strong the local scene has become. Headed up by the dynamic duo of Hypho and Xakra, their efforts have most certainly not gone unnoticed by us over here at The 3000 Network.
Their latest release follows the above pattern pretty closely, as they welcome the wonderful sounds of Biome, another Manchester based bass & dubstep wizz, back inside for a very tidy looking four track creation, showcasing just how much space sits between the realms of techno and dubstep.
This is a sound that the Manuka team are slowly but surely starting to dig their flag into, with a number of their recent releases really exploring this sound and showcasing it to the world, packaged up fabulously of course!
In fact, we loved this project so much, we simply had to get involved ourselves with an official premiere of ‘Torah’, the fourth track. The best way to describe this one would be a perfect combination of blips and bass, exploring the previously unexplored space within rhythms and synths that give the track an unusual yet interesting vibe throughout.
You can check out our official premiere via the 3000 Blog SoundCloud page, which we have attached below:
